Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Pathankot Arrival
Welcome Greetings from Swati Tours & Travels!!!
On arrival at Pathankot, our company’s representative will Meet, Greet and Assist you. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and overnight stay.

Day 02: Pathankot – Dharamshala (approx. 2 hrs drive)
Today morning post breakfast, we will drive to Dharamshala by road. Mcleodganj is a famous little town of Dharamshala also known as “Little Tibet”. The Dalai Lama resides here. At the start of Mcleodganj is a small bazaar filled with variety of Tibetan handicrafts and artifacts. At the end of the spur lies the Namgyal Monastery. The external wall is surrounded by rows of prayer wheels. With in the monastery are large idols of Buddha. Excitement to visit the most beautiful hill station and formerly the Summer Headquarter of Govt. during British Rule - will compel you to wake-up early in the morning. Enjoy your breakfast and then proceed for the full day sightseeing of Dharamshala.
On arrival at Dharamshala, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Relax for the rest of the day.

Day 03: Dharamshala
Full day Sightseeing
Visit Kunal Pathri, War Memorial, Dal Lake, Bhagsung falls, overnight stay at the hotel. Dharamshala is the District Headquarter of Kangra district. This is a hill station lying on the spur of the Dhauladhar range about 18kms in North-East of Kangra town. Hill station is wooded with oak and conifer trees and snow capped mountains enfold three sides of the town while the valley stretches in front. Visit places like Chamunda Mandir, Brejeshwari Temple, Kangra Fort, Meclodganj, Bhagsu Nag etc.
We will also proceed to visit the Dall Lake -surrounded by high and green Deodar trees and which fills a mountain bowl as well as the perfect place for Picnic.

Day 04: Dharamshala – Manali (6-7 hrs drive)
Today morning after breakfast, we will drive to Manali – A Dazzling Beauty of Hills and also The Switzerland of India. Manali– the sheer raw beauty of perennial snow covered peaks for a backdrop, a wooded land full of majestic deodars and scented pines, a newly born mighty Himalyan river flowing by and a panoramic valley stretching out gives the place a surrealistic setting. A favourite shooting place for Bollywood filmmakers, Manali also has many avenues for summer activities full of adventure like trekking, mountaineering, river rafting , ballooning, parasailing and winter activities of skiing and heli-skiing. Above all Manali offers a surprising diversity of holidays.
The most beautiful aspect of this road journey is the winding and zigzag serpentines road with mesmerizing views of road side hills as well as valleys and deep gorges.
On arrival at Manali, transfer to your hotel for check-in and overnight stay.

Day 05: Manali
The exciting day will begin with delicious and leisurely breakfast. Get refresh and energize yourself for the exploration of the hill town. We will visit some of the most interesting tourist places like Hadimba devi Temple, Manu Temple, Club House, Tibetan Monasteries, Nehru Kund - on the road to Keylong is the Nehru kund (6 km) which is a clear water spring end scenic spot named after the late Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. Kothi (12 km) is a picturesque village and has a thrilling view of the deep gorge through which the Beas swiftly races. The beautiful Rahalla falls (16 km) are at an altitude of 2500 m. A crucial link on the old trade route and still the gateway to Trans Himalayan Lahaul, the Rohtang Pass is at the height of 3980m. Later visit the Solang Valley and the not to be missed Rohtang Pass and Vasisht Hotel Water Springs & Temple, 51 km from Manali at an altitude of 3978 meters (subject to weather conditions).

Day 06: Manali – Kaza (7-8 hrs drive)
En-route Rohtang Pass & Chandra Tal Lake
Today morning after breakfast, check-out the hotel and drive ahead to Kaza with an en-route visit to Rohtang Pass & Chandra Tal Lake. Later continue drive to Kaza. On arrival, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Relax for rest of the day.

Day 07: Kaza Sightseeing
Excursion to Kibber Village
After breakfast, visit the 14th century built Key Monastery that is situated at the altitude of 4116 meters. Three temples have images of Lord Buddha besides there, where you can also see old musical instruments and 108 volumes of ancient scripture. The place is residence for monks who learn these scriptures and musical instruments. After visiting Key Monastery, we will take you to north to Kibber village, situated at the altitude of 4205 meters. Return to Kaza and stay in the hotel overnight.

Day 08: Kaza – Tabo (approx. 2 hrs drive)
Today morning post breakfast, drive to next destination Tabo village, known for the 1000-year-old Tabo monastery, located at the altitude of 3050 meters. The monastery is now a world heritage site of UNESCO. It clay made stucco images that show the cultural heritage of the place, many of which are in good condition even now. Leave the monastery and stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 09: Tabo – Kalpa (7-8 hrs drive)
Post breakfast proceed to Kalpa, located at an altitude of 2960 meters, Kalpa lies in the Kinnaur district. Arrive in Kalpa and check in to your hotel. Visit the quiet village, offering fantastic views of the Kinner Kailash ranges across the river. Visit Narayan Nagini temple, a specimen of local architecture and artisanship. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 10: Kalpa – Sarahan (6-7 hrs drive)
This morning check-out the hotel and drive for Sarahan. This heritage village is located in picturesque valley, on the bank of Sutlej River. Afterwards, visit the famous Bhimkali temple, built in timber and stone, at an altitude of 2165 m. It is a mix of Hindu and Buddhist architecture, with two stately towers. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 11: Sarahan – Shimla (approx. 8 hrs drive)
In the morning after breakfast, check-out the hotel and drive to Shimla. On arrival, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Relax for the rest of the day.

Day 12: Shimla
Full Day Sightseeing
Today morning after breakfast, we will proceed to explore the city by visiting the most interesting places of Shimla, which attracts the tourists through out the year. We will visit here The State Museum, ViceRegal Lodge, The Prospect Hill, The Jakhu temple, and Summer Hill. There are many local markets decorated with small as well as congested stalls. Shimla is perfect place in winters for Honeymooners and Lovebirds. Walking on the Ridge is the most deliberate experience for any visitor. Visitors with strong bargaining skills may also visit Lakad Bazaar of Shimla near Ridge, established on the steep hill path side market.

Day 13: Shimla – Chandigarh (3-4 hrs drive) (Departure)
Today morning after leisurely breakfast, check-out the hotel and drive to Chandigarh for your onward journey to next destination.
