Lake Nakuru lies in the volcano strewn rift valley, one of a chain of 8 lakes, which stretch the length of Kenya from Tanzania to Ethiopia. The 160 km drive from Nairobi passes through highland farm of the kikuyu people before descending an escarpment into the dramatic landscape of the rift. Lunch is taken in the park followed by an extensive tour which focuses on the bewildering spectacle of a million flamingo but which also seeks out the large variety of the wildlife that abounds in the park. Return to Nairobi late in the evening for dinner and overnight
AMBOSELI EXPRESS: RS02 DAYTRIP
Amboseli National Park lies within the shadow of mighty Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Only nature in all her majesty could create such a back drop to the wildlife pageant found at Amboseli. Game is seen enroute to the park and crosses ochre plains where Maasai tend their cattle in an age – old tradition. Lunch is taken at a lodge in the park and afterwards another game drive where lion, elephant and the splendid cheetahs are likely to be seen. Return to Nairobi for dinner.
