Introduction of Trek:
Sham is situated in lower Ladakh with beautiful landscape, villages and monasteries. This is a soft trek and we have ample time to explore Buddhist culture and monasteries pre and post trek.

Day 01: Delhi Arrival
Welcome Greetings from Swati Tours & Travels!!!
On arrival in Delhi Airport, our company’s representative will Meet, Greet and Assist you, later you will be transferred to your pre-booked hotel for check-in and night stay.
Relax for the rest of the day.

Day 02: Delhi – Leh (by Flight)
Today morning after breakfast, you will be timely transferred to Delhi airport to board the flight for Leh - a small picturesque town of about 10,000 people. Situated at 3505 Mt. (11500 ft), the summer days are dry and sunny but nights can be cold. A double lines of "Manies", stone shelters for departed spirits, protects the towns approaches. During these three days we will explore some of the interesting monasteries of the area. On arrival at Leh airport, our local representative will assist and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel for check-in and overnight stay. We will stay in Leh for a day to get acclimatize with the environment.

Day 03: Leh
Today morning post breakfast we will proceed to explore the city escorted by guide who will explain us the historical, cultural as well as facts related to the local people of Leh.
Morning half day sightseeing of Phyang – founded in 16th century by King Tashi Nangyal. Spituk - The monastery first belonged to the Kadampa order but in the 15th century it was restored and Tsong Kapa sent two Lamas to transfer it to Gelupa order. Afternoon free for preparation of the trek.

Day 04: Leh – Likir (approx. 2 hrs. drive)
En-route visit Spituk Monastery
Today morning post breakfast, we will drive straight to Likir with an en-route visit to Spituk - The monastery first belonged to the Kadampa order but in the 15th century it was restored and Tsong Kapa sent two Lamas to transfer it to Gelupa order. Phyang – founded in 16th century by King Tashi Nangyal. Later we continue our drive to Likir. On arrival, transfer to your camp.

Day 05 to Day 08: Trekking
Post breakfast, we will proceed to explore Likir Monastery, located at a distance of 5 km from the main road, just before Saspol. It is a magnificent gompa, overlooking the village of Likir. It is also known as the Klu-Kkhyil (water spirits) Gompa, it was founded in the 14th century, and was the first gompa in Ladakh known to have been built under the direction of Tibetan monks.
Once we finish our visit to Likir monastery we begin our 04 days trek, soon after leaving Likir monastery behind, cross the Likri river and ascend through arid terrain to a small pass. From here continuing our journey via Sumdo village, a river and along several small dry valleys till the Charatse La and then on to Yangthang (3600 Mt.). For our next stage, first we will descend into the Wulle valley then ascend on the other side of Col, from here we walk down hill into another valley named after Cedar (Shukpa) trees, a short walk to village of Hemis Shukpachan (3600 Mt.), its an important village with a worth visiting Monastery. Our next stage to Ang, is a fairly short stage with a steep descend and ascend to the Meptek La Pass (3750 Mt.). From this pass its an easy downhill walk to our camp at Ang. Our final stage of this trek to Themisgam (3700 Mt.) is almost downhill and we expect to arrive here for lunch. The afternoon will be spend in exploring Themisgam village and relax. Our trek ends here

Day 09: Themisgam – Leh (approx. 3 hrs drive)
Excursion to Lamayuru and Alchi Monastery
After breakfast drive to Lamayuru - lies 125 Km. away from Leh at the foot of Fotula Pass (The highest point on Leh Srinagar highway). The monastery is one of the oldest and major monastery of western Tibet and stands on a small hilltop overlooking the enchanting landscape. Above the monastery stupas and mani walls mark out the old carvan route. The monastery is worth visiting and houses many status Avalokeshwara and guru Padama Sambava, explore the monastery and return to Leh, en-route visit Alchi Monastery - situated on the left bank of river Indus, 69 Km. away from Leh is the village and monastery. The monasteries date back to 11th and 12th century. The statues are made of mud and are beautifully painted in typical Kashmiri tradition, which was very influential that time. The temples with wall paintings are Dukhang or meeting hall, the three storied statue of Sum-tseg and Majushri are worth admiring. The mural paintings of Mandala and Maha Kala are match less to all the monasteries of Ladakh. Later we continue our drive to Leh. On arrival at Leh, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Relax for the rest of the day.

Day 10: Leh – Delhi (by flight)
Today morning post breakfast, you will be timely transferred to Leh airport to catch the flight for Delhi. On Arrival at Delhi airport, our company’s representative will assist and transfer you to the hotel for check-in and overnight stay. Rest of the day at leisure for personal exploration.

Day 11: Delhi – Agra (approx. 4 hrs drive)
This morning post breakfast check-out the hotel and drive to Agra with an en-route visit to Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna and the tomb of Emperor Akbar at Sikandra. Later we will continue our drive to Agra – “The City of Romatic Taj Mahal”. On arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in.
Relax for a while. Later we will proceed to visit the Taj Mahal (Closed on Every Friday) and Agra Fort built by Emperor Akbar.

Day 12: Agra – Jaipur (approx. 5 ½ hrs drive)
Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri
After leisurely breakfast we will drive to Jaipur – “The Pink City” with an en-route visit to Fatehpur Sikri, the former capital of Emperor Akbar and was deserted due to the scarcity of water. Later we continue our drive to Jaipur. On arrival at Jaipur, transfer to your hotel for check-in and overnight stay. Relax for the rest of the day.

Day 13: Jaipur
Full day sightseeing with Elephant Ride
Today morning we will begin our day with a feel of Royal Legacy as we will experience the up hill elephant ride to admire the massive gateways, courts, stairways and pillared pavilions / palaces of Amber Fort. Later visit any Authentic Dhaba (recommended only) for lunch.
Afternoon explore City palace, Observatory, Hawah Mahal (Palace of winds) and bustling Bazaar.

Day 14: Jaipur – Delhi (approx. 5 ½ hrs drive)
Today post leisurely breakfast, we will drive back to Delhi, en-route with a brief halt at midway for refreshments. On arrival at Delhi, you will be timely transferred to Delhi airport / Railway station for your onward journey to next destination.
