Day 1
Arrive in Chandigarh by shatabdi train same day visit to famous Rock garden and sukhna lake and market of sector 17

Sukhna lake
Sukhna Lake- is a beautiful lake that lies in the foothills of Shivalik range. The unique thing about Sukhna is that it is a manmade lake. It is a 3 km long lake that was created in the year 1958. It was done by damming the Sukhna Choe, which is a seasonal stream flowing down from the Shivalik hills.

Kirat pur sahib
Kiratpur Sahib was established in 1627 by the 6th Nanak, Guru Hargobind, who bought the land from Raja Tara Chand of Kehloor through his son, Baba Gurditta. The place is also associated with the memory of a Muslim saint, Pir Buddan Shah.

Gurdwara Patal Puri
This Gurdwara, on the banks of the Sutlej, is situated near the railway tracks and is the place where many Sikhs take the ashes of their dead to be immersed in the river. Guru Hargobind in 1644 as well as Guru Har Rai in 1661 were cremated here. The ashes of Guru Harkrishan were brought from Delhi and immersed here in 1664.
Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib or Anandpur Sahib is one of the most important sacred places of the Sikhs and is closely linked with their religious traditions and history. It is located on the lower spurs of the Himalayas surrounded by picturesque natural scenery, with the river Satluj forming a shimmering and shiny blue border on the south west barely four miles away. So far as the historical significance of Anandpur Sahib is concerned, it is second only to Amritsar, the city of Golden Temple.
Guru-Ka-Lahore: It is 11 kms on Sri Anandpur Sahib-Ganguwal route leading to the State of Himachal Pradesh. On 25th January, 1686, the 10th Guru's wedding to Mata Jito Ji was celebrated here. Two almost pinhead springs still functional, were pierced by the 10th Guru by lancing the rocky mountains.

Gurdwara Garhi Sahib, Chamkaur Sahib--This gurdwara commemorates the spot of the bloody battle of Chamkaur. After the attack at the river Sarsa, Guru Gobind Singh, his two eldest sons and 40 Sikhs made it to the town of Chamkaur while being pursued by an army of 1,000. Guru Gobind Singh and the 40 Sikhs sought shelter in a mud-built double story house. They were attacked by the enemy on December 22, 1705.
Fatehgarh sahib
To commemorate the martyrdom of younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh who were bricked alive in 1704 by Wazir Khan, the then Fauzdar of Sirhind, a magnificent Gurudwara has been constructed. This Gurudwara is known as Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib, because it marks the conquest of the Sikhs in 1710 when under the leadership of Banda Bahadur, the Sikhs ran over the area and razed the fort (built during Balban's rule) to the ground.
Gurudwara Jyoti Sarup is about 1 Km from Fatehgarh Sahib on Sirhind- Chandigarh road. It was at this place that the mortal remains of Mata Gujri, the mother of Guru Gobind and his two younger sons, Fateh Singh and Zorawar Singh were cremated. It is believed that Wazir Khan, the then Faujdar of Sirhind refused to allow the cremation of the bodies unless the land for the cremation was purchased by laying gold coins on it.
Seth Todar Mal who was an ardent devotee of Guru Gobind Singh, purchased this place of land by offering gold coins as demanded.
RAUZA On the Sirhind-Bassi Pathana Road, near Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib is the magnificent RAUZA OR DARGAH of Shaikh Ahmad Faruqi Sirhindi, popularly known as Mujaddid, Alf-Isfani who lived in the times of Akbar and Jahangir from 1563 to 1624.
The Shaikh is held in high esteem and is considered by Sunni Muslims to be second to prophet Mohammed. For this reason, this mausoleum is regarded as a second Macca by the Sunni Muslims
The Haveli Todar Mal also known as Jahaz Haveli is situated on the Eastren side of Sirhind-Ropar Railway Line just 1 KM away from Fatehgarh Sahib. It is made of Sirhindi bricks.It is the Haveli where Diwan Todar Mal resided. Diwan Todar Mal in his life time paid the greatest tribute to Sikh community by purchasing piece of land at the substantial cost for the cremation of two younger Sahibzada's Baba Zorawar Singh & Baba Fateh Singh from the Mughal emperors. With this act he incurred the wrath of the ruling family.
The Aam Khas Bagh was built for the public and also for exclusive use of the Emperor Shah Jahan. The Royal couple used to stay here while going to and coming back from Lahore.

Gurdwara Mehdiana Sahib is not only a splendid architectural accomplishment; it is also famous for its architecture and monuments depicting important events in Sikh history. The gurdwara is also commonly known as the School of Sikh History. It has a beautiful sarovar with greenery all around. As one walks about the sound of various birds chirping from the surrounding trees have made this place a heavenly abode for pilgrims.
Nanak sar Jagraon centre of spirituality
The founder of Thaath Nanaksar was Baba Nand Singh Ji, whose unparalleled Tapasya and sewa of Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji proved the words of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji that Guru Granth Sahib is a Living and Pargat Guru of Sikhs. Same tradition was followed by Baba Isher Singh Ji, who spread message of Guru to the entire world.

Gurdwara Hatt Sahib
As a young man Guru Nanak was convinced by his family to accept employment here as the accountant of the provisions of Nawab Daulat Khan Lodhi. Guru Nanak got the job on the recommendations of his brother-in-law Jai Ram. The Nawab was very much impressed by the young Guru who would work diligently in the day and spend the evenings and night singing the praises of God with his friends.
Gurdwara Guru Ka Bagh
Guru Nanak spent 14 years in Sultanpur Lodhi as a young man working for Nawab Daulat Khan Lodhi. This was the house of Guru Nanak where his two sons Baba Sri Chand and Baba Lakhmi Chand were born. Guru Nanak tested his two sons, but neither proved worthy of being his successor. Baba Lakhmi Chand was too involved in worldly affairs while Baba Sri Chand chose the path of renunciation and became an aesthetic.
Gurdwara Kothi Sahib
Guru Nanak worked for Nawab Daulat Khan Lodhi in charge of his accounts. The Guru was temporarily jailed here on the orders of the Nawab while all the accounts where checked. It had been reported to the Nawab by jealous elements that the Guru was stealing from the inventory as his predecessor had. When the inventory was checked and found to be intact, the Nawab released Guru Nanak & apologized profusely, even offering Guru Nanak a promotion to Prime Minister of the state. Guru Nanak refused to accept the position as he had decided to dedicate his life to the spread of Sikhism.
Gurdwara Ber Sahib
At this spot Guru Nanak would go bathing early in the mornings in the Bein river before meditation. While bathing here one day Guru Nanak disappeared in the stream and was missing for three days where he was in communion with God. Upon returning the enlightened Guru Nanak began his lifelong mission of preaching Sikhism. Guru Nanak had planted a Ber (jujube) tree seedling on this spot which has today grown into a large tree.

Goindwal s
Goindwal Sahib is on the banks of river Beas and is a significant place of Sikhism. Goindwal is situated at a distance of 30 km south-east of Amritsar city. Guru Amar Das Ji established this place and personally helped in the construction of the Gurdwara and Baoli (well) with 84 steps leading down to it. Guru Amar Das said that whoever recited the entire Japji prayer of Guru Nanak on each of the 84 steps with a pure heart before bathing in the Baoli would receive spiritual emancipation.
Tarn Taran
Around 1590 Guru Arjan Dev set out on a tour of the country between the rivers Ravi and Beas. Here Guru Arjan Dev bought some land and laid the foundation of a Gurdwara in honor of Guru Ram Das and started the excavation of a tank even bigger than Amritsar. The Gurdwara has one of the largest tanks and resembles the Golden Temple, except that it is built on the side of the tank and has a marble exterior. Guru Arjan Dev also established the first home for lepers in India at Tarn Taran
