Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival IXB – NJP – Gangtok (125 Kms / 04 hrs) Welcome Greetings from Swati Tours & Travels!!!
Tour stars with your arrival at Siliguri (NJP/Bagdogra). Transfer to Gangtok and check in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Gangtok – Lachen
Drive to Lachen (8800ft) via Chungthang (40Kms), another quiet and picturesque hamlet on the higher Himalayas famous for its proximity to the Kanchenjunga National park, Green Lake. Transfer to hotel at Lachen.
Overnight halt and dinner at Lachen
Day 03: Excursion Trip – Gurudongmar Lake & Back . Morning breakfast then proceed for excursion trip to the Kanchenjunga National park, Green Lake and Gurudongmar Lake. After visit return to Lachen. Overnight halt and dinner at Lachen .
Day 04: Lachen – Lachung. Drive to Lachung (126kms, 8610ft) after breakfast. En-route visit at Tashi View Point, Kabi Lungtsok (historical site), Naga Waterfalls, Confluence of Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu at Chungthang, Bhim Nala Waterfall and Holy Rock at Chungthang. Lunch at Phodong/Mangan. Over night halt and dinner at Lachung.
Day 05: Excursion Trip Yumthnag Valley & Back
Early Morning visit Yumthang-valley (known as Valley of Flowers), Yumthang is the summer grazing ground of the yaks & winter playgrounds of yetis. On the way back visit the Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Back to resort for lunch. Overnight stay at Lachung
Day 06: Lachung – Gangtok
After breakfast proceed for Gangtok , Afternoon covering Rumtek Monastery, Botanical Garden, Do-Dul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology, Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07: Gangtok – Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
A day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (departure in the morning) - situated at a height of 3,780 mts. with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Return back to Gangtok. Overnight halt at Gangtok Hotel.
Day 08: Gangtok – NJP / IXB Morning free for packing & transfer to NJP Railway Station for return journey.
